As Christmas and burial of the late financial guru, Elder Dr Kalu Uke Kalu , KUK, (CON) draws near, committees set up across the world for the KUK funeral have called on the Abia state governor, Dr Alex Otti, Abia North Senator, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, OUK and the Arochukwu/Ohafia representative at the Federal house of representatives, Hon. Ibe Okwara, to commence work on the Isiugwu Ohafia road.
One of the committees was said to have met with the governor last mid week week. The governor was reported as saying that he would be at the burial. He was KUK’s friend and colleague. He was also said to have asked his works commissioner to proceed to Isiugwu Ohafia in person today, Sunday. December 3 for on the spot inspection of the road.
Also, another Committee was reported to have met with Uzor Kalu on the Isiugwu Ohafia road which he is the facilitator.
Uzor Kalu was quoted to have said that he embarked on the Isiugwu Ohafia road because of his promise to KUK. He had asphalted the road to a point remaining about 1.4km. Since he won his reelection, work is yet to recommence on the Isiugwu Ohafia road project.
The committee was reported to have sent delegates to OUK. OUK reportedly promised to be at the burial. But there was no further comment from him on the road.
However, the Honrable Representative for the Arochukwu/ Ohafia federal house constituency chief ibe Okwara, has been asked to commence work on the Isiugwu Ohafia/Abam road as it connects southern part of Ohafia, Ania with Abam and Arochukwu.
There is always traffic congestion on the Isiama, park, old soldier to Ania road during Christmas. So, the Isiugwu Ohafia/Abam route serves as alternative for those going to Ania, Ihechiowa, Ututu, Arochukwu and Abam.
Heavy traffic is expected at the KUK burial with over five governors reported to have declared interest in attending the funeral of the late banker.

“It’s about 1m to grade the link road from Isiugwu to Abam . These are his CONSTITUENTS and it is dry season.
Tell him to do what Uko Nkole never thought of doing. If my candidate was declared winner, by now, we for don start work to grade from Oboro to Okagwe.

Please let the media men of @ honibeokwaraosonwa help bring this apt advice/suggestion to his attention. This would definitely add a deserved feather to his cap .
Now that he knows it’s cheap to do, will our rep set to work? It will help to decongest the old soldier to Ania and Arochukwu road this season. It will also provide an alternative route for guests coming for the late KUK burial. I wish the rep has a feeling for KUK and his constituents in that Ania and Arochukwu axis. If he doesn’t, we will urge him to have it, please.
