“Woe unto those whose leaders are children. Woe unto those whose leaders worth only a morsel of bread and vain accolades. It is better you are feared than loved by your enemies”. By being feared let you get what belongs to you but being loved gets you whatever your lover thinks you should have.”
Igbo career politicians are very shameless and lack self dignity.
The non-career politicians that should be speaking to them are busy aspiring to be like them.
Woe unto any Igbo man who supports Atiku in PDP If you are not supporting Obi, then it is better to support Omoyele Sowore of AAC than to support Abubakar Atiku. PDP denied the late Alex Ekwueme ticket twice (1998 & 2003). PDP has never considered you for a vice president position. Then your adopted president (GEJ) was booted out of office with the help of Abubakar Atiku and the G7 governors. Today Atiku is boldly mounting podiums in the South east and declaring himself the god of the Igbo nation to the admiration of self-claimed Igbo political leaders.
How can a rational Igbo man support another Fulani to replace a Fulani (Buhari)? How can any rational Igbo support a Muslim to replace a Muslim (in a country where religion matters)? How can any rational Igbo man support a Northerner to replace another northerner (if Atiku couldn’t support GEJ to finish a second term how dare he think a Fulani should replace Buhari)? Other ethnic groups are watching you. All of a sudden the shout about “Nigerian president of Igbo extraction” is now being sacrificed on a platter of Atiku’s dollars and prospect of getting appointment.
Woe unto those whose leaders are children. Woe unto those whose leaders worth only a morsel of bread and vain accolades.
If we ever want to be taken seriously by other ethnic groups in Nigeria then we must rally behind Peter Obi. We must publish it in the street of Abuja and announce it on the bridges of all the States that the collective will of the Igbo is to take the southern slot of Nigeria’s presidency in 2023. Even if we fail we earn the respect of the rest than supporting Atiku Abubakar or Bola Tinubu of APC to win and eternally remain irrelevant in Nigerian politics. Like Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ikemba Nnewi once said, “It is better you are feared than loved by your enemies”. By being feared let you get what belongs to you but being loved gets you whatever your lover thinks you should have.
The South East can make Labour Party the new vehicle to the political emancipation of the Igbo and the foundation of a new Nigeria. The political future that Prof Chukwuma Soludo cares so much about can be planted in Labour Party, certainly not APGA for obvious reasons.
A block vote for Obi by the Igbo will give him an outright win (in addition to votes from other zones and given that there are four leading contenders) or at worst deny other leading contenders the presidency. Either way, the Igbo would have laid a solid foundation of political reawakening and influence assertion in Nigeria since the end of civil war.
Ndi Igbo unite! Vote Obi massively and liberate yourself from national ridicule
