In a manner similar to age old tactics deployed by politicians in every electoral year, to disenfranchise the electorates and bamboozle their way into government, a crude act Nigerians at large has grossly frowned against and determined to eradicate in the coming 2023 general elections, Abia state PDP has admittedly resorted to violence, vandalism and self help in order to retain foothold in the waning South East SME hub where it has held sway for over 2 decades of its democratic political existence albeit with worrisome infrastructural decay, decline in educational ratings, poor economic ratings, healthcare and most worrisome, a continuous deliberate act of withholding the workers and pensioners wages for over 40 months in order to divide their ranks and manipulate them.
Feelers coming from the Isiala Ngwa region reaching out to Umuikaa junction driving towards Aba continue to portray the Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party as band of gangsters that has held the state hostage for too long and afraid of losing out to any credible party with candidates prepared for the challenging job of governance and leadership the PDP government has failed to provide in all its over 23 years of hostage in Abia state, a position its appointed officers are never prepared for neither do they have the prerequisite knowledge to undertake such responsibilities.
For the umpteenth time, agents of the PDP led government of Abia state has descended on properties of Labour Party including Billboards, attacking members of the “Obidient Movement” of the Labour Party in a manner that could only be ascribed to thuggery and hooliganism, perhaps it could instill fears and intimidate the electorates in Abia state into forceful acceptance of the party whom over 90% of the electorates in Abia state has vowed never to associate with it anymore based on its glaring leadership failures and neglect of the people’s primary concerns virtually across all sectors of government.
One could have overlooked these tendencies as an act of frustration and depravity leading to deliberate bullying and intimidation of perceived opponents, however the recent arrest and detention of a member of the Alex Otti Campaign Council and a chieftain of the Labour Party, from Isialangwa South, Dr. Nwaigburu, is one act of violence and hooliganism too many to ignore.

Not because Alex Otti commands a battalion of militia to descend to the low rungs of the PDP but because he commands an aura of self discipline in fiscal administration, leadership capacity and competence to manage and grow the economy of the South east center of Commerce to the shame of those who has held the state hostage for too long.
I am aware the Alex Otti Campaign Council has issued a Press Release to that effect calling on the attention of security apparatus in Abia to step up its duties of equal protection of lives and properties of people and every electorate in Abia state in the coming general election.
However, the PDP led government of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu has by this repeated act of vandalism and intimidation made it clear to the people of Abia state that its worst fears is the emergence of the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Alex Otti, in the coming general election against another lackey in the mold of Okezie Ikpeazu named Uche Ikonne (Phd) that the party has decided to feature as its gubernatorial candidate in the coming general elections. Not because Alex Otti commands a battalion of militia to descend to the low rungs of the PDP but because he commands an aura of self discipline in fiscal administration, leadership capacity and competence to manage and grow the economy of the South east center of Commerce to the shame of those who has held the state hostage for too long.
Like the proverbial ‘He that lives in a glass house should not throw a stone’ the Okezie Ikpeazu led PDP government knew its total collapse and complete shattering of the PDP glass house of deception over the years and wicked manipulation in Abia state is imminent and bound to happen, therefore it has resorted to a spoil tactics to intimidate and scare the electorates and members of the Obedient Movement of Labour Party. Unfortunately this unwise decision has merely continued to embolden the electorates to overwhelmingly accelerate the descent of the PDP led government of Abia state to the garbage of history.
There are about 18 Political parties participating in the 2023 general elections of which Labour Party is one of them, each of these parties has fielded a gubernatorial candidate therefore exerting your negative energy, fear and frustration on the candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Alex Otti is a clear sign of ‘He who fights and run away.’ Lives to fight another day’
When PDP manipulated the votes by the electorates in Abia state in 2015 and stole the mandate of Alex Otti without any form of preparation for leadership nor knowledge of the economic situation of a state like Abia with a clear history of Industry, trade and commerce, like all thieves will do, they carted away the collective welfare and resources of the people they have no knowledge of administration nor discipline to lead and they have thrived in that confusion and myopia till date.

Therefore it is understandable if they chose to resort to self help by employing thuggery, intimidation and vandalism but that is not acceptable by the people of Abia state.
Those who are fronting for them in this abusive and debasing behavior are mere victims of their weaponisation of hunger and lack, this has been one of the most potent tool the misfits in government across Nigeria had continued to use to divide the ranks and continue to rob and spoil every good thing God almighty had bestowed upon this state and Nigeria but this has come to an end with the introduction of BVACs electronic vote transfer technology.
Therefore I would like the electorates and people of Abia state to consider the PDP braggadocio as the threat of dying vandals whose stock in trade has been exposed and will be permanently buried by the collective will of the people on the 11th of March 2023
