In a Press Statement issued by the DG Alex Otti Campaign Council, Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, it appears Labour Party is not impressed by the wanton destruction of its billboards and attack on its candidates by the PDP led government of Abia.
In less than a month, matters relating to violence against Labour Party candidates in the Isiala Ngwa North and South and Osisioma region and wanton destruction of Labour Party Billboards by miscreants alleged to be carrying out the orders of members of the PDP led government in a region they had lay claims as stronghold appears not to have gone down well with Labour Party and its candidates.
Matters grew worse with a recent destruction of a giant billboard at the Umuikaa Junction at the Isiala Ngwa region by the authority of the General Manager of Abia State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ABSAA), Mr. Anthony Otuonye on the grounds that the PDP has no presence there therefore it would not allow an opposition party to mount a billboard in the area.
Hon. Obioma in the Press statement is calling the attention of all authorities concerned including persons of influence in the state to call the PDP led government of Okezie Ikpeazu to order before it sets fire on the relative peace enjoyed by people of the state as no man has the monopoly of violence, he stated.
In a response obtained from the Publicity Secretary, Labour Party, Abia State comrade Njoku Jerry Ajike, he stated that; “the situation in Abia state is dire and naturally you do not expect the PDP led government to be at peace immediately they learned that our Principal, Dr. Alex Otti has found a new formidable ground to launch back and affirm his long-standing victory over those holding the state to ransom.
The entire show of shame by the PDP is to find every means to stop anyone coming to uncover the grafts and graves, these men has dug for the ordinary people of Abia State over the years, to keep them in perpetual bondage of misery and hopelessness while they prey on the welfare of entire Abia state – Labour Party has come to disrupt that lunatic stronghold and it is a duty upon every Abia to join forces with us and dismantle this satanic bondage of grand deception

Now with the introduction of the new electoral law, they have every need to be afraid, however, exhibiting this level of desperation is not only laughable but pitiable that people who brandish Phd and Royal titles will descend that low to confuse their own people.
As you can see, our principal has remained consistent on his decision to rescue Abia and her people from the chokehold of men of questionable characters, confused and completely disconnected from the art of nation building and wealth creation, any man with such level of determination will definitely send jitters to opponent anytime and anywhere he appears.” Said Mr. Njoku.
Mr. Njoku, in support of the position of the DG, Alex Otti Campaign Council reinstated that the party’s position remain resolute as all avenues of peaceful approach is almost exhausted which has warranted the issuance of the Press Statement now both parties have all the opportunities to put things right for the sake of development of the state before matters gets out of hand. He said.
“Matter of fact; ABSA as an agency has a roleplay in monitoring billboard displays while APCON approves content, what you should find disturbing is why is ABSA losing sleep over Labour party billboards and Labour party candidates, do they express the same reservations towards other Political Parties in the state or has there been any form of violence unleashed against other parties?
Why is the same treatment not meted out to other parties like APGA, APC or even YPP, because PDP in Abia has nothing to contend with them, as a matter of fact, they’re allies duplicated as proxies to provide a safe landing at the great fall that is about to happen to PDP in Abia state, unfortunately there will be no safe landing this time so their fears is justifiable. “When you owe workers of the state virtually in every category month of unpaid salaries, when you steal the political mandate that is not yours, a broad day robbery that is still fresh in the minds of every Abia state electorate, you should be afraid when the people you have stolen from comes for their items,”
I listened to the radio interview by one named ‘Commander Otu Onye’ where he was asked what exactly is the specific offence of Labour Party and he cited the content of the billboard as against the ethics of advertising – funny enough, the content of the Billboard was approved by APCON with an issued Certificate of Approval Dated 28th July 2022 and cited ASP/A2/21/01. He decried the use of the message on the billboard ‘Weep Not Abia, Help is on the way!”
“You are victimizing the people of Abia state, withholding their salaries for years, while you and your followers live in luxury, you are destroying the academic system, the health sector and even punishing the pensioners, our aged parents and someone comes with a message of hope, you said he should shut up and you are destroying materials of publicity of the man with the message of hope.”
“What you should find disturbing is why is ABSA losing sleep over Labour party billboards and Labour party candidates, do they express the same reservations towards other Political Parties in the state or has there been any form of violence unleashed against other parties?

That action alone has already exposed the bias and fear of a slave working very hard to please his master even at his own detriment. Unfortunately, even his master is also struggling with multiple self-induced battles with self-made enemies he has incurred for keeping to too many things that do not belong to him and his godfathers.
