“Intimidating and harassing men who have left the Party for a more credible options like Labour Party will only continue to expose PDP’s fear of failure and its final elimination in Abia state.” – Njoku Jerry A

Events unfolding in the Okezie Ikpeazu led government of Abia state where the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has held sway for over 2 decades do not portray a ray of hope for the party, coupled with alleged regular manipulations of victory the party is fond to lay claims it has enjoyed over the years as it struggles by every means necessary to maintain a foothold of the region it has lay claim as its stronghold in the coming general elections.
With growing discontentment among the party hierarchy at the recent antecedents of the governor whom it is alleged has found a new godfather in Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who he laps around at every beck and call abandoning his own domain in utter disregard to state functions and responsibility of governance to embark on luxury tours overseas with Nyesom Wike while Abia state rots in utter abandon of its education, healthcare and the welfare of the people.

“the emergence of Labour Party in Abia state is an event which time is due, it is divine and the failure of all the political institutions that has held this state to ransom till date is certain,

It appears the people of Abia state, beginning from its political leaders, has awakened from its long-seduced slumber to send the ruling party a permanent quit notice and never to have anything to do with PDP again in Abia state.
With the exit of key members of the Party like Mr. Darlington Nwokocha of the Federal House of Assembly, Ginger Onwusibe of the State House of Assembly and the recent outburst of another Chieftain of the Party in the person of Chief Charles Ogbonnaya, former Abia State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, PDP in Abia state do not appear to recover any time soon from its imminent collapse.
The PDP Chieftain and Abia State Coordinator of the Campaign Council of the PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar has frowned at the manner Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu (Phd) has debased himself to rubbish governance in Abia state with his regular ‘side chick’ appearance with Nyesom Wike at every functions bringing to ridicule the people of Abia state. According to Ogbonnaya who featured on a live radio programme in Umuahia, “Ikpeazu should at this point, focus on how to tackle infrastructural problems bedeviling Abia State and stop following Wike around.

“Without any sign of remorse and not giving in to its increasing rejection by the people of Abia State, the PDP and its handlers recently chose to resort to a mud fight”

Speaking to the Labour Party State Publicity Secretary Mr. Njoku Jerry Ajike, the party whose growing influence in Abia state politics appears to have thrown in the spanner upsetting the entire PDP structure, he declared; “the emergence of Labour Party in Abia state is an event which time is due, it is divine and the failure of all the political institutions that has held this state to ransom till date is certain, there is nothing that is going to save them, whether it is PDP, APC or any other, the emergence of Labour Party into the mainstream is to affirm their failure and final exit from this region.” Said Mr. Njoku
“Without any sign of remorse and not giving in to its increasing rejection by the people of Abia State, the PDP and its handlers recently chose to resort to a mud fight by struggling to discredit those wise men who were smart enough to dump the party for Labour Party at the time the ovation was loud enough, one of them being the recent witchunt of Mr. Ginger Onwusibe, and the attempt to disparage the great works of Hon. Darlington Nwokocha in Isiala Ngwa North/ South region.
These are men whose influence and credibility in public service has earned the PDP whatsoever accolade it has enjoyed in Abia State when the merry-go-round was cordial.
For them to dump the party for a people-oriented Party as Labour Party posits grave danger for PDP therefore their fears and frustrations is understandable.”

“their exit is guaranteed because the people of Abia State are fed up to the teeth of the excesses, negligence of PDP and their damning failures virtually in every aspect of governance and if you go to the street of Aba, Umuahia or anywhere in Ohafia these feelings are genuine therefore whatsoever the PDP is doing to harass the people with facebook or social-media induced charities are certain to fail.”

However, their exit is guaranteed because the people of Abia State are fed up to the teeth of the excesses, negligence of PDP and their damning failures virtually in every aspect of governance and if you go to the street of Aba, Umuahia or anywhere in Ohafia these feelings are genuine therefore whatsoever the PDP is doing to harass the people with facebook or social-media induced charities are certain to fail.

“A case in point is in Ohafia, where there is no visible nor concrete benefits of the existence of PDP in entire region other than decorated structures that continue to mock the ordinary people of the community whereas social media is awash with awards for PDP and its representatives in the region.”

We aware of all these abuses and will respond in due course” said Mr. Njoku

Intimidating and harassing men who have left the Party for a more credible options like Labour Party will only continue to expose PDP’s fear of failure and its final elimination in Abia state.”

“They have lasted this long because the people permitted them and now that the people have found a voice in Labour Party with the pack of credible and competent individuals beginning from the gubernatorial candidate Mr. Alex Otti, Darlington Nwokocha, Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Ogah, Ginger and the rest of them PDP and its supporters has chosen to fight dirty”
