Abia State, South East Nigeria has recorded continuous abysmal performance in governance and leadership responsibilities since the 1999 democratic inception till date and does not appear to show any remorse in presenting its scorecard to the public.
While it takes pride in playing the blame game, it has not relented in its efforts to emasculate every sincere attempt by genuine individuals to rescue the state from shameful strangleholds by a certain few who have crossed the 7 seas and gone beyond the ordinary to see that the state remains a paternal hereditary fiefdom of sponsors of lackeys and stooges to cover their tracks.
In its almost 6 administrative tenures comprising of 2 tenures of the Orji Kalu administrations (8 years), 2 tenures of the TA Orji (8 years) and now almost completed 2 tenures of the Okezie Ikpeazu – making it complete 24 years of leadership experiment, Abia state has remained in the grips of a vicious circle of same bands of men whose sole interest has remained to reduce the state to servitude by impoverishing every known government worker from the cleaner to senior civil servants in the state workforce cutting across virtually all sectors of government including education, healthcare and the environment.
Anyone who dares to complain at this level of injustice and neglect is either wooed over and initiated into the fold to keep his mouth shut or a leash is strewn across his neck as a Special Assistant (SA) to the governor or government favoured personality with endless promises of perks and the fellow and his sponsors will forever keep their mouth shut while any objection to this grand design of chokehold and failures is met with threats of blackmail, mudslinging and campaign of calumny as Abia State continue to deteriorate both in infrastructure and human capacity development.
In all these grand designs of incompetence and failures, one Abia State individual has remained resolute in his desire to see that genuine development takes place while men of low self-esteem who continue to struggle to create a false icon of occultic influence in governance

Dr. Alex Otti has made frantic efforts to upturn the table of Abia state politics and continue to do so without relenting. It takes a man of courage and fortitude to run the extra mile to achieve your utmost desire, especially where it is hinged on human capacity development, the environment and general welfare of your people. This journey amidst divers disappointment and losses had taken Alex Otti through the platforms of various political parties, from APGA, to PDP, APC and now Labour Party, making every frantic efforts to see Abia rescued from the stranglehold of underdevelopment and shame without relenting.
Alex Otti would have arrived at a situation where human beings naturally give up and leave the people to their fate, in their sordid situation, however he had chosen to push even harder and here is where his sincerity, competence and capability is brought to limelight.
Abia state must be rescued from the grips of lackeys and stooges representing the greedy and selfish interest of their godfathers and sponsors, men preying on the ignorance of the Abia state electorates and elites who should have known better to stand behind a man of competence and character to reform Abia leadership deficit then get involved in ill-informed judgement of cheap blackmail.

Those who decry Alex Otti having jumped from one party to the other are mere emissaries of the rascality of leadership in Abia state. as if this would assuage the acclaimed proof of desperation, would it suffice to know that political Parties are characterized by beliefs and principles or ideologies binding the practice of the organization – unfortunately in Nigeria such political party do not exist as in the case of regular cross-carpeting between PDP-APC and APC-PDP without scruples, therefore, should you bank on achieving your political ambition based on your allegiance to a political party, tendencies are you are standing on a thin rope of chance to actualize your goal, it even becomes most worrisome when the candidacy or leadership roles in the parties are determined by grand manipulations influenced by financial inducement, coercion and sometimes outright threats.
The threats, a last option when the interest of groups of individuals thriving at the lawlessness of the system are ruffled, they resort to blackmail, calumny and mud fight by every means necessary to spoil whatsoever credibility left in the candidate whose pedigree and influence is bound to unseat their strongholds.

In another instance, an unfortunate scenario I have observed even among men I would consider elite and religious leaders, the blackmail continue to run across boards that Alex Otti ran Diamond Bank aground, stole Abia state people’s money with Orji Uzoh Kalu, TA. Orji and banked it with Diamond Bank, even linking him to the abysmal performance of Okezie Ikpeazu of all people.

This is the worst of blackmail by men I would consider as leeches to the fortune of Abia people.
Information regarding how Dr. Alex Otti succeeded in growing the fortunes of Diamond Bank far better than he met it are all in the public domain.
How can people be so daft and continue to tolerate these levels of falsehood – this is what you get when the educational institutions are impoverished and denied every means of sound administration and research – the people resort to cheap and junk information dissemination strategies just to destabilize the society and sound technocrats that will rescue the economy from a complete collapse.
For the records, Dr. Alex Otti joined Diamond Bank in March 2011 as the Group Managing Director while Orji Uzoh Kalu left Abia state government in 2007 about 4 years before Alex emergence as GMD of Diamond Bank.

In its first tenure as Governor of Abia State, T.A. Orji was busy battling with his godfather and sponsor Orji Uzoh Kalu and was only able to create his own fiefdom from 2011 that gave birth to his own lackey from May 2014.
Alex Otti left Diamond Bank in 24th Oct 2014 to join the race for Abia governorship seat.
Then the campaign of calumny that “Alex Otti was Theodore Orji’s banker, He authorised huge loans and made money from his dealing with Ochendo,” this is one of the weakest forms of blackmail and only laughable, was Theodore Orji the only governor that Diamond Bank during Otti’s banking career?
Was Alex Otti Theodore Orji’s finance commissioner throughout the Ochendo dynasty that foisted a person of Ikpeazu pedigree upon Abia State or was Alex Otti Abia State Accountant General?

Most worrisome is even when Mr. Peter Obi, whose records of great performance in governance continue to endear him to Nigerians and all over the world had made a clear statement commending the astute managerial acumen of Dr. Alex Otti who it was under his leadership of the financial institution that Anambra State funds was warehoused for an investment that yielded multiple benefits for the Anambra government while he was governor.
More so, if Alex Otti, as alleged by those bragging to make the matters public during campaign – as if all the information here are not already in the public dolman – made financial decisions for governors, why was the outcome different between Umuahia and Awka, Anambra State where Mr. Peter Obi as the governor at the time entrusted Diamond Bank under the leadership of Alex Otti with tens of billions of Naira and millions of dollars and not a penny went missing?
Fact is; Dr. Alex Otti has remained that sole individual Abia state Politician who has remain focused, consistent and resolute in his determination to see Abia succeed and establish a system of leadership that will genuinely represent the true aspirations of the ordinary people in Abia State and rebuild this industrial capital South East of Nigeria to God’s divine purpose for both the people and their community.
