Since 2015, the political leadership in Abia state has remained unsettled till date. It is not as a result of internal wranglings or misunderstanding between the party hierarchy but the emergence of one man the political class has developed so much trepidation for, Alex Otti.
But why would a single individual wield so much influence that entire state political apparatus will invest lifetime resources in blackmail, sponsored media calumny and outright lies and deception just to hoodwink the unsuspecting innocent electorates and people of Abia state, all in a bid to maintain a grip on the state coffers, the people’s welfare, and resources provided to develop the state and create conducive environment for labour and productivity while they pull a blindfold on the citizenry.
The result is not far-fetched; The Political structure and the men running the affairs of Abia state has formed a cult status of fiefdom where individuals are randomly selected and foisted over the governance of the state and must by default serve the sole interests of the appointee, their sponsors and members of the secret circle whose relevance is only noticed in the number of self-acclaimed titles, over photo-shopped billboards of achievement and hordes of young people employed as Special Assistants (SA’s) without any meaningful skill set nor labour rather they resort to praise singing and servitude of the paymaster while the entire state and citizenry suffers abysmal infrastructural and social decay.
Now what would Alex Otti do differently; virtually all political candidates contesting for the governorship of the state under various parties had made mountains of promises of policy overhaul, infrastructure development and welfare incentives until they get to the seat of power only to forget virtually all the beautiful political campaign rhetoric and assume an entirely different role of fantasy and infamy, robbing the state to stupor.

Ridicule, failures in providing solutions to governance in virtually all sectors of the economy, poor leadership and a massive horde of miserable workforce and young people they have robbed their future by continual deception and brazen lies.
Others may have made similar attempt but got drowned in the vicious power play envisaged in Abia state, existing since the departure of Orji Uzoh Kalu (OUK), T.A. Orji and now Okezie Ikpeazu, who is living up to his master’s legacy of confusion and now erecting his own structure of profligacy and confused leadership as he grooms his own selection of a lackey that will maintain his grip on the public till amidst records of colossal poor performance in governance or for a job neither of them has ever prepared for until the day of selection.

Earlier year 2021, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) summoned former governor of Abia state, Chief T.A.Orji and Sons for a graft of over N500 Billion of Abia state money, the family had defrauded the people during his 8 years in office, the case is still in court till date.
Later in the year 2019, former governor of Abia state that selected T.A Orji was convicted of having defrauded Abia state of over N7Billion in his 8 years in office, the case is still in court till date.
As another 8 years will be rolling over in few months from now, Okezie Ikpeazu do not appear as someone who will walk free without being caught with his hands glued to billions of Abia people’s money that he has defrauded the ordinary citizenry as he makes frantic efforts to either run to the senate or appoint an idiot that will cover his track of administrative recklessness while Abia and its people continue to suffer the entire loss and shame.
This is the culture of impunity, grand larceny and abuse of power the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia state had instituted over the years and dare to continue with this repulsive behavior and complete arrogance to the sufferings of the ordinary people of Abia state.
The existing anomaly of impunity, bringing the entire structure of Abia state down to its knees making a mockery of governance had compelled Alex Otti to take the way of the biblical Moses who by divine arrangement confronted the Pharaoh and demanded an end to this gross injustice and destruction of people’s collective welfare.
This is the origin and continuous sponsored media calumny against Alex Otti, for daring to challenge a gang of unpatriotic, shameless and myopic miserable adults who chose to take their own homeland to the garbage, taking pride in its underdevelopment and impoverishing the citizenry to always use and manipulate them at will.
Alex Otti came prepared to create jobs that will give the people the means of oiling a cycle of a healthy region where people’s earning power will be contributory to the IGR of the state that will provide the government with enormous fund and resources for development of state infrastructures without resorting to uncivilized borrowing for consumption.
