Sitting from an emergency SWC meeting that took place at the Party Secretariat in Umuahia, the Chairman also used the occasion to recognize and welcome prominent members of the APC and PDP who have jettisoned the two political parties for their anti-people policies and mal-administration in Abia state, he used the occasion to encourage the newly adopted members to join in the leadership examples Labour party has laid down both at the national level and at the state level, which has warranted the surge of Nigerians and most particularly people of Abia state to embrace Labour Party as the Party to beat in coming general elections.

“There is a growing passion among young people in Abia state and across the country to completely route out bad leadership in the country, take for instance the case of Abia State where the ruling party has repeatedly and brazenly abandoned the welfare of indigenes in virtually all sectors including health, education and most importantly security,

In a remark by the publicity Secretary, Comrade Njoku Jeremiah Ajike, he said “There is a growing passion among young people in Abia state and across the country to completely route out bad leadership in the country, take for instance the case of Abia State where the ruling party has repeatedly and brazenly abandoned the welfare of indigene in virtually all sectors including health, education and most importantly security, the young people you see here today are students of tertiary institutions, some which has been shut down and their accreditation withdrawn due to government neglect, majority of their parents has been owed for months and worse is the security of Abia state indigene across the divide.
People cannot continue to keep quiet and act indifference in the face of these dangers and failures while leadership of government of the day take vacations overseas in the midst of all the crises.
This is what has warranted this interest to participate in the voting exercise and mass defection of all the people you see here today from PDP and APC and we are pleased with the outcome of things, it showed that the people are completely fed up with poor leadership from all sectors and are doing everything within their reach to make sure Abia state do not repeat this colossal mistake of choice of leadership in the coming 2023 general elections. Said Mr. Njoku

“It takes competence and men with track records in financial and human management to rebuild this state which has been so destroyed and ridiculed from its lofty position as center of commerce and industry to a place where mediocrity and sycophancy is celebrated to win patronage and inclusion”

Speaking on the choice of Dr. Alex Otti as the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party in Abia state, the Party Spokesperson, Mr. Njoku Jeremiah, said; “Dr. Alex is a tested administrator, like the presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, these are men who has managed businesses and people and have succeeded in creating wealth for the people and curbing excessive waste in governance and in managing the people’s resources. Abia state cannot afford to miss such a golden opportunity to remedy the damages and havoc in governance that previous occupants of leadership positions in the state had caused. It takes competence and men with track records in financial and human management to rebuild this state which has been so destroyed and ridiculed from its lofty position as center of commerce and industry to a place where mediocrity and sycophancy is celebrated to win patronage and inclusion at the complete detriment of the state.

This is what Labour Party has vowed to stamp out once voted into power and all the people you see here today have come to prove to the people of Abians that we are ready to take back our state for the people. Said Mr. Njoku
