The overseas invitations by various foreign institutions extended to the executive governor H.E. Alex Otti are as a result of the images of his state that he has created of as a region prepared for international partnership with economic development institutions, from the United States, the UK and organisations eager to see one serious government body in Nigeria to work with.
The recent reorganising of the Abia PDP and their announcement of forming a shadow government is a welcome development, perhaps it will give them the opportunity to learn the true act of governance and be a credible watchdogs to a political process that is completely alien to the characters who have ran the party off relevance to the point of barking toothless dogs digging holes in the puddle of their own dung.
Yes, under PDP, Abia state appeared as a region of cattle dung with herdsmen wearing Phd and Professor titles parading their ignorance and foolery with a tool as sacred as governance and messing up the socio-economic development of their homeland.
Perhaps it would have been better witnessed what the Alex Otti government is doing here in Abia state compared to what it used to be under the previous dysfunctional political administrative system rather than relishing in self conceit by run-away ex-government conmen and their hallelujah boys who have found an extension of their onetime dingy government house on Social Media platforms where they speak long and windy grammar analysis, to deceive the unsuspecting public.
Take for instance the reopening of one of the renovated Administrative structure at the Nnamdi Azikiwe state secretariat, this is an edifice, a huge investment that was literally abandoned to the rodents and overgrown by bushes right inside the government facility for all the 8 years of former government now acting opposition, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were issuing building maintenance receipts on the one time dilapidated structure from the Ministry of Works as the same situation applies to virtually every public facility that was once managed by the so called reformed characters now baptized shadow government.
This has been a huge responsibility under the Alex Otti government, bringing discipline back to the business of governance and rebuilding abandoned public infrastructures including government facilities, roads destroyed by those who now want to be referred as ‘opposition’ or what they call ‘shadow government’
Some of the roads in Umuahia, the capital city, like the recently reconstructed dualized Dozie Way road in Umuahia and many of the public facilities including those inside the so called government house were such a terrible eyesore to the capital city yet the characters making noise across the social media today in the name of opposition thrived in the midst of all that filth and rot without repulse.
You cannot be passionately engaged in the business of reconstructing a completely collapsed situation like Abia State and not wear such a looming image as Governor Alex Otti has done, not even at a time when entire region is undergoing complete reconstruction beginning from the Emeka Omerua old government house, to the ministry of Agriculture that once wore the semblance of a pigsty, to the environment housing the ministry of finance and the DMO, the dilapidated Michael Okpara auditorium, the State Secretariat, and the onetime symbol of a lawless government named ‘Isi Gate’, etc.,
Virtually across every region of the state extended to the nearby Local Councils, heavy reconstruction work is ongoing, to give the state a befitting outlook as a region serious in its intentions to build a New Abia that will literally attract visitors and Investment to its region without unwarranted media fanfare.
Let nobody deceive you, Abia is exceptionally working and gaining its ultimate role as center of commerce and Industry and a disciplined workforce under a government that is sincerely committed to the people’s welfare and their environment.
The images you see across the Social Media about the new Abia today are as genuine as we claim and have made promises to rebuild the state from its former moribund status.

You cannot be so focused and committed to the socio-economic development of your region and not gain a looming image across all boards, perhaps this has raised the level of envy of those former Phd titled conmen that brought Abia to its knees in filth to seek alternative measures to discredit a working government albeit and unfortunately, it ends on the Social Media platforms.
Criticism of the Otti government would be justifiable among those posing as oppositions if there was one good facility on ground to hold on to for a new government to continue from, but fact remains, there was nothing but ruins therefore, would it suffice those that has ears to listen that the best every Abia State indigene could do today irrespective of political divide, is to join hands with the Alex Otti administration to fast-track the rebuilding process from your local councils to the state capital
Forming a shadow government to trash talk and deceive the citizenry against the ongoing rebuilding process of Abia State will only amount to an effort in perpetual futility and will continue to diminish whatever shadows that is left of those claiming superior political knowledge albeit it ends at Beer joints and private coffers
The Otti’s government has continued to portray itself as the proverbial candle light that cannot be hidden but continue to shine, a town built on a hill to give light to all and diminish the darkness of yesterday that scared away every potential partner and visitor from the state.
For those who’s primary role has become to form a government in shadows, let them be reminded that there will only be one New Abia, a home for all under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Alex Otti to pave way for a great future that will never be dragged back to its unhealthy past of retrogression and foolishness.
