I don’t have respect for the man who mocked all Christians in his country by fabricating fake bishops, cardinals, and pastors to make it look like Christians are in support of his Muslim-Muslim ticket. We are not fools. Call it whatever you like, Tinubu or Shettima will never disrespect Muslims in that manner to fabricate fake Imams.
I don’t have respect for a man who blatantly, in the full view of the world, stole the mandate of the people, fabricated numbers, and got himself announced and sworn in as the president. No, Nigerians did not vote for Tinubu. Nigerians are not that stupid. Yes, there could be some stupid people, but their stupidity has not garnered such a majority to be able to put Tinubu in office just by their votes alone.
It is good that he was invited to the inauguration; it is a standard diplomatic practice. My only prayers for him is that as he sat and watched the mass of inauguration of Pope Leo XIV and the crowd from different parts of the world and was also able to meet the Pope one on one, may he come to realize that the world is bigger than his silly ambition to be president of Nigeria by all means. May that realisation make him tell himself the truth by taking a bow out of office by 2027. Then vow to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and credible election for his successor. Or better still, divide the country and let everyone go their way.
