“Opposition gives room to quality governance or so it should and not to distract the business of a government that is seriously committed to the rebuilding of an economic and welfare situation they met in complete ruins. The question is very simple; Is Abia state today in the same rank with Abia state of yesterday?
I have followed up on certain individuals across various social media forums take turns in castigating the Labour Party led Governor Otti’s government, for no other crime than being frugal with its financial obligations and adopting a very principled approach to governance.
It is understandable; Nigerians are yet to depart from its chokehold of leadership crisis and administrative rascality, it cuts across the regions, a system where being in governance amounts to ultimate wield of influence over power and money, albeit, money belonging to the common wealth of the people and their state, nobody takes responsibility for any breaches in governance and few selected individuals enjoying political privileges draws a circle of ‘no fly zone’ where they are answerable to nobody but their warped acclaim of political relevance.
The leadership of Labour party both as a ruling government and as a political structure are responsible to the people, and not to a set of individuals therefore our policies and principles is woven around the people, their environment and welfare.
Unfortunately, many of these individuals are from Abia state, some tucked away in remote regions with no physical contact to the state while others, the much they know about Abia state is from viral news on the social media, yet they relish in leading conversations with veiled intentions to confuse the unsuspecting public and perhaps distract the working government of H.E. Governor Alex Otti.
Perhaps I should let us know that the leadership of the labour party led government cared less about unwarranted distractions but rather remained focused with the goal of rebuilding this state to its lost glory.
Most disturbing is when individuals who should know better but for the benefit of self conceit, ignorance and cultural ‘crabs in a barrel’ syndrome chose to engage in destructive pastimes all in a bid to discredit a government and a leader they’re not only envious of but were unable to match his credentials when they had the opportunity to prove the competence and integrity they have suddenly become teachers and analysts recently.
I have read some former Abia state commissioners of previous administrations, their aides and supporters take turns in praising the PDP led Enugu state government of Peter Mba, perhaps to spite the Abia State Labour party led working government of Governor Alex Otti, you run to the social media to deceive the public because you have regular access to internet and can speak and write academic jargons that has never defined simple governance to the citizenry and in your hatred or ignorance of quality representation and good governance you keep struggling to discredit the leadership of the Labour Party led People’s governor, H.E. Dr. Alex Otti.
May it suffice I put it clear to you that, opposition gives room to quality governance or so it should and not to distract the business of a government that is seriously committed to the rebuilding of an economic and welfare situation they met in complete chaos.
Did the previous PDP led government made any impact in the welfare, infrastructure and economic development of the state?
Perhaps they did, but the manner the people of Abia state rose up in anger to chase them away and opt for a more credible, people-oriented government led by the Labour Party leader, Dr. Alex Otti is a clear evidence that those men speaking long and winded economic jargons and analysis on the social media today are proven failures that should be humble enough to learn the art of leadership from the Labour party leader and not crawl into every social media fora to teach us finance and governance.
An uncle of mine retired and died, and for all the 8 years of the previous Abia State PDP led government they withheld his gratuity and pensions, I took the pains upon myself to go figure out why the unnecessary delays only to be told pointblank, somebody has closed his file and till date we never got any penny of his over 6 Million Naira, stories like this abound in the previous PDP led government of Abia State!
Unfortunately it is the majority of individuals that held sway during that infamous administration that are coming online to advise Governor Alex Otti and Labour Party on what we have not done or has done wrong and I would like to make it clear, before you begin to sale your false political narratives to the unsuspecting public;
Is Abia state today in the same rank with Abia state of yesterday under the Ex-Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led PDP government?
Are the situations and welfare of the workforce, the civil servants you’re pretending to be speaking for today better than their miserable situations of yesterday under the PDP woeful performance in governance?
The ordinary people of Abia State including my late Uncle, whose entire life savings was deliberately stolen, may not have all the privilege of education to understand all the economic jargons of GDP, FDI, and all that academic analysis you all come online to confuse yourself with in endless English grammar.
The question is very simple, did you put the roads and living conditions of people in the state in order, so much that your former boss, the ex-governor was praised to high heaven for leading Abians to the path of economic freedom and prosperity or did you impoverished the region, bringing so much ridicule, filth and disdain to the state so much that visitors including businessmen and investors literally stayed away from the State?
Abia State Labour party leader, H.E. Governor Alex Otti had repeatedly made it clear when he said; the days of victimizing Abians who aired their opinions about the affairs of the State are over”, we are open to criticism as a credible tool of checks and balances in a democratic system, However, when you go online to sale lies and deception, and not having done enough, you begin to look for supporters to buy into your falsehood and propaganda, it is obvious you are a self made enemy of the state and it behooves every indigene of Abia to rise up and counter the false narratives of such individuals whom, many of them do not even have physical contact with the improved lifestyle and the progress of social infrastructure ongoing in Abia State today.
Some are living overseas and never touched base in Abia for the past donkey years, many others reside in Enugu, Abuja, Lagos except in Abia yet they’re all over the social media space fanning embers of hate and confusion and deceiving the unsuspecting public.
In the words of the great teacher; “Never take advice from people who aren’t getting the results you want to experience” – As much as we welcome ideas and opinions of every Abians to help this government of the people led by God’s servant H.E. Dr. Alex Otti, I do not think the opinions of those who had more than 20 years to fix this state but failed woefully matters at any point.
