Labour Party, Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa member representing Aba South state constituency emerges New SPEAKER of Abia State House Of Assembly
While Hon. Austin Okezie Meregin,(Ugolee)Umuahia East State Constituency is elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.
He was elected under the platform of the Labour Party ahead of the Inauguration of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly.
Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa, a Former Executive Chairman of Aba South was elected unopposed in a grim election that had members of the PDP battling for re-election of the leadership of the 8th Assembly.
Their election brings to balance the principle of political Justice as the LP led administration of Dr Alex Otti who ran election from Abia Central Senatorial District is strongly in support of the arrangements.
