Obi in Abia; The coming of Labour Party and the beginning of great events to watch

“Mr. Peter Obi manifesto anchors on security, production, institutional reforms, industrial revolution and others. This is where the duo of Alex Otti in Abia state as governor and Mr. Peter Obi as President of Nigeria, both of Labour Party strikes a balance and is certain to produce the long anticipated new homeland of hope and prosperity, aligning the policies of state development with that of the central government for uniformity of purpose.”

On Friday, the 3rd of February 2023, The Peter Obi and Yussuf Datti campaign train will storm the Umuahia Township Stadium on its ongoing campaign tour and final rally across the country as we count down to 25th February, day of battle. Abia state is acclaimed a PDP stronghold state and has maintained an infamous grip on the governance of the state for over 23 years however, not without a strong opposition that began in the 2015 electoral year with the emergence of Alex Otti. The obvious flaws in that year electoral activities perhaps executed on purpose and allegedly funded by the PDP led government of Abia has rather than weakened the resolve of Alex Otti to lead a constructive productive economy in Abia state, has emboldened him to stand his ground of challenge to what he considered as crass leadership failure, rudderless and too experimental to be acceptable for anything near development of his homeland state.
Having made attempt at several other political platforms to achieve this great ambition of change of leadership, Alex Otti for the third and possibly final attempt, settled with Labour party in the coming 2023 gubernatorial elections and by coincidence of fate landed in the same party with the man of the moment, the new Nigeria political albatross Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party.

Mr. Peter Obi in Labour party and Alex Otti in Labour Party

“Mr. Peter Obi’s manifesto shares a lot of similarities with Alex Otti as both shares the same ideology of, from consumption to production, one of the many angst of Alex Otti against the ruling PDP led government of Abia state whom he has described as a government of waste that took delight in impoverishing the people of Abia state without any known guiding principle of development other than sharing state resources among cronies and loyalists.”

Alex Otti in Labour Party and Mr. Peter Obi in Labour party will be interesting political events to watch both in Abia state and in Nigeria and 3rd February 2023 will mark the beginning of that epoch journey of a complete leadership overhaul both in Abia state and in Nigeria as a whole.
During the flag off ceremony of the Alex Otti gubernatorial campaign at Ngwa High School Abia, in November 2022, which hosted Mr. Peter Obi and members of his campaign team and leadership of labour party at the campaign flag off ceremony, the PDP led government of Gov. Okezie Ilpeazu had made frantic fruitless attempts to frustrate the event when its aides began to issue counter objections on excuses that were not farfetched as the rants of a man losing the battle. The event did took place and successfully so, bringing the PDP led government of Okezie Ikpeazu to disrepute among many Abians who have for a long time aligned with the political ideology of Alex Otti and now Mr. Peter Obi.

Now, what is the political ideology, that government should be committed to the business of productive economy that creates wealth rather than over-dependency which breeds indolence and poverty; this is same ideology Mr. Peter Obi has brought to mainstream Nigeria politics, an ideology that frowns at wastefulness and abuse of political privileges. Nigerians of all sizes bought into the message, a timely intervention that requires only men of genuine commitment for change and development to deliver.
This ideology, like a seed planted by the river side grew exponentially with its own brand fondly referred to as ‘The Obidients’ a group that emanated from the scratch choosing a once relatively unknown political party  as its platform to achieve this great purpose, an idea whose time has come.

Simply put; the Alex Otti political ideology will be focused on industry and wealth creation, from consumption to production and a government that abhors waste of state resources on frivolities that has bludgeoned the cost of governance leaving the state always struggling with developmental priorities of consistency in developing critical state infrastructures.
This mirrors Peter Obi template of a new Nigeria of hope and that is what he is bringing to Abia state on his campaign train.
Of records, Peter Obi and Alex Otti had shared similar backgrounds of prudence and disciplined fiscal administration and when Alex Otti held sway at the corporate world of banking and financial consultancy, he had at one point in time provided wise counsels and services that has sustained and grown the economy of Anambra state when Peter Obi was the governor and till date that counsel and prudent fiscal management has continued to bring increase in the economic activities of Anambra state.

“Simply put; the Alex Otti political ideology will be focused on industry and wealth creation, from consumption to production and a government that abhors waste of state resources on frivolities that has bludgeoned the cost of governance leaving the state always struggling with developmental priorities of consistency in developing critical state infrastructures, this mirrors Peter Obi template of a new Nigeria of hope and that is what he is bringing to Abia state on his campaign train.”

More so, Mr. Peter Obi’s manifesto shares a lot of similarities with Alex Otti as both shares the same ideology of, from consumption to production, one of the many angst of Alex Otti against the ruling PDP led government of Abia state whom he has described as a government of waste that took delight in impoverishing the people of Abia state without any known guiding principle of development other than sharing state resources among cronies and loyalists.
In addition, Mr. Peter Obi manifesto anchors on security, production, institutional reforms, industrial revolution and others. This is where the duo of Alex Otti in Abia state as governor and Mr. Peter Obi as President of Nigeria, both of Labour Party strikes a balance and is certain to produce the long anticipated new homeland of hope and prosperity, aligning the policies of state development with that of the central government for uniformity of purpose.

It is of note that the PDP government of Abia state led by Gov, Okezie Ikpeazu will not sit down and fold its arms while its feeding bottle is snatched away from its mouth, they are bound to fight back and possibly fight dirty by the crook or by the hook, they have prepared enough for such an occasion with the level of poverty and neglect it has unleashed on the workforce of Abia state but one thing very fascinating in Abia state is that even opposition parties and its followers shouting at rooftop against Alex Otti Labour Party candidature has not failed to hail Peter Obi’s Labour Party candidature even juxtaposing their campaign pictures with that of Peter Obi of Labour Party, all in a bid to show allegiance to the massive yearning of the Nigeria people for a constructive change that is geared towards productive economy from the waste that previous administrations and politicians has brought both the state and the country down under. On this note, a vote for Peter Obi of Labour Party is a vote for Alex Otti of Labour Party acknowledged as the People’s Party evidenced in its Party emblem.
