“Labour Party is roundly prepared to take Abia State away from the rot and backwardness it has found itself due to poor leadership choices.” – Njoku Jerry Ajike, Publicity Secretary LP, Abia

In preparation of the great task ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial campaign in Abia state, authorities from the state working committee (SWC) of Labour party Abia state concluded inaugural ceremony of the campaign council at Isiala Ngwa North constituency on 16th June 2022.

The event had produced Wards and LGA Executive committee members that will lead the campaign activities of Labour Party across all positions where Labour Party has featured candidates in the coming 2023 general elections.
Statement obtained from the spokesperson of the Party, Comrade Njoku Jeremiah Ajike indicates readiness of the party to unseat traditional political strongholds in Abia state come 2023.

In his remarks, Mr. Njoku stated; “What has happened here today in Isiala Ngwa is to tell the people of Abia state that we mean business, when we said we are going to completely overhaul the entire political structure of Abia state and put the right people in position of leadership.”

“Dr. Alex Otti is a man from the corporate business world, eminently exposed in administrative discipline, finance management, wealth creations and the economy, all representing the hallmark of Labour Party”

The Party leader and gubernatorial candidate Dr. Alex Otti is a man from the corporate business world, eminently exposed in administrative discipline, finance management, wealth creations and the economy, all representing the hallmark of Labour Party, therefore, we are leaving no stone unturned in the march to the great change that the people of Abia state envisage. He said.

“If you have been following recent developments, you will find out that all the defections to Labour Party are from individuals whom have been prominent in their respective parties addressed as ruling party or traditional political stronghold. Whatever it is that has prompted them to leave their platforms of luxury status to join the Labour Party here in Abia state is enough to tell you that we have come to unseat redundancy and celebrated failures in the state.

Today inauguration is to mark readiness of the party to work hand in hand with all successful candidates of the party both at the state constituency, federal house of representatives, house of assembly and all wards representative to encourage our people to stand up for what is right and timely, said Mr. Njoku.

“What has happened here today in Isiala Ngwa is to tell the people of Abia state that we mean business, when we said we are going to completely overhaul the entire political structure of Abia state” – Comrade Njoku Jeremiah Ajike

Comrade Njoku Jeremiah Ajike uses the occasion to counsel the Abia electorates not to be carried away by party and individual paid propaganda that has continued to market discordant opinions, of Labour Party not having a foothold in Abia state and the credibility of the gubernatorial candidate clinching victory at the polls;
“Like I said earlier, we have had factional APC chairman in Abia state joining Labour party, we have had aspirants from PDP deserting their traditional stronghold to join Labour Party and more – these men certainly knows more than the eye can see, therefore they decided to join a moving train that is heading to the desired destination of every Abia state indigene.

Then, concerning the pedigree of Dr. Alex Otti, here, we have a man that is roundly positioned among the people, between the Abia North heritage, the Ngwa bloc comprising of areas like Isiala Ngwa North and South, Obi Ngwa, Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa East, Ukwa West then at the Center is a man of track record of commerce and industry who have created and grown wealth. This is the man to follow and not traditional civil servants whose selling credentials is ‘anointed by incumbent’ or ‘sponsored by the ruling cabals.’ Abia people has woken up to the realities of the economic and environmental situation and will not fall cheap to manipulation by political business peopl this time.
However, we are not undermining the chances of other contestants in the election but I can assure you that Labour Party is roundly prepared to take Abia State away from the rot and backwardness it has found itself due to poor leadership choices. Thank you.
