Labour Party, Abia conducts Primaries, picks candidate for governorship

“The simple reason while Abia state has maintained the status quo of failures and neglect is because the people has not found a credible alternative platform to establish their will power to turn the tables against those preying on the hapless citizenry”

8th June 2022, Labour party embarks on the journey to reposition Abia state as center of industry and commerce as it converges to elect credible men and women that will lead the working people of the state to its desired political and economic position.
The State Party Chairman, Hon. Ceekay Igara in a telephone conversation confirmed that Labour Party Abia State chapter is going to conduct the primaries for the National Assembly, State Assembly and Governornip, scheduled to take place at designated centers for the 3 senatorial zones of Abia North, Abia Central and Abia South.

Abia state, despite its huge resources and potentials for matching IGR with states as Lagos and Rivers coupled with hardworking artisans, traders and business owners had continue to witness one of the worse forms of leadership virtually at all circles, allegedly characterized by patronage. It will be recalled that virtually all former Abia state governors after serving their two terms of 8 years retire to the National Assembly as a senator despite prevailing legacies of decay and neglect of the people while they serve as governors. From Orji Uzo Kalu, to TA Orji, and now Okezie Ikpeazu angling to replace Enyinnaya Abaribe in the Senate.

Reading from the published result of the primaries conducted by PDP, the ruling party in Abia state, one may allude that the people seem to be under strange manipulations because you cannot imagine how the people despite their continuous groaning of neglect, debts and complete absence of infrastructures succumb to such manipulations of repeated failures.

“I am very convinced that the people of Abia state are not cowards, this is the only state in entire South East that has the capacity to match with Lagos despite its severe disadvantages.”

Speaking to the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Njoku Jeremiah Ajike on the expected conduct of the scheduled primaries, he said; The emergence of Labour Party in Abia state should not be a thing of surprise, you talked of manipulations, I do not accept such positions, the simple reason while Abia state has maintained the status quo of failures and neglect is because the people has not found a credible alternative platform to establish their will power to turn the tables against those preying on the hapless citizenry as hawks and vultures – under such circumstance, most people out of fear or concern for their safety just abandon the leadership of the states to whomsoever that is foisted on them by those holding the state ransom.

But that will seize to happen the moment Labour Party concludes it primaries and present to you what we described as ‘the David of Abia.’
I am very convinced that the people of Abia state are not cowards, this is the only state in entire South East that has the capacity to match with Lagos despite its severe disadvantages. It is the people in the state that is making that a possibility, yet the same people are the ones that will be owed salaries for months, their business centers abandoned, roads neglected, schools dilapidated while those that has foisted themselves upon the people in the name of ruling party lives in affluence that only amounts to self-deceit. Said Mr. Njoku

Njoku Jeremiah Ajike declared that ‘Abia state is a known South East commercial hub, the working people are the engines of the economic progress of the state, the working people are Labour Party people and today will mark the beginning of the great march to victory for the ordinary working people of Abia state including traders, artisans, civil servants, pensioners, students etc whom have been neglected for too long only to be continuously abused and humiliated with weak appendages of I will describe as ‘chop I chop’ party.
