Penultimate to the resumption of campaign activities for the 2027 electoral year, a Chieftain of the Labour party, Abia State Chapter and former State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Comrade Njoku Jerry Ajike, has declared that the ruling party will hold on to power in Abia State for years until it has completed the job of rebuilding the state to what he describes as ‘God’s glory over the state’
Speaking from his country home in Ohafia, Comrade Njoku who also doubled as former Nigerian Community in China Diaspora Leader, said “the emergence of Labour Party in Abia was never accidental or the outcome of political manipulation but a deliberate act led by divine guidance to arrive at the position the party occupies today as the desired bride.”
In a statement he issued to journalists, youth leaders and friends who came to pay a visit, Mr. Njoku stated;
“We are not given up until we have completed the job we began in 29th May 2023.”
“I have been out of the country now and often but duty calls that every person who loves his homeland and wants to see the best should make himself available for such an assignment that we are about to embark upon from next month September 2026.” He said.
“Our primary role as members of the Labour Party in Abia State today is to sustain the progress of development we have achieved since we emerged as the winner and the ruling party, That is one assignment every person who loves this God’s own state should seize as an opportunity to prove your loyalty to the work of God in Abia State.” Anybody who fights against that will be fighting against the wind and will certainly lose, it’s a prophecy and you can quote me at anytime.” Said Mr. Njoku
“Some of us could have stayed back in overseas and care less about what happens to Nigeria, most importantly our homeland Abia, but this is a responsibility that is incumbent upon every child of God to join forces with those that the Almighty God has assigned the role of total reconstruction of the state to the promise of redemption that the Almighty God has made to us.”
“I am seizing this great opportunity to congratulate the Executive Governor of Abia State, H.E. Alex Otti for what he has done in our homeland, for certainty, the foundation of the New Abia will be credited to him but most importantly we should not in anyway forget to mention the crucial role Labour party and its leaders have played in laying the red carpet that ushered in the rebuilding of this great homeland of God’s people.”
“I am aware Labour party has faced a lot of challenges in the state, from existing litigation and internal divisions within the party yet in my previous radio interviews, I have maintained that this is a family affair, no matter how anyone may wish to interpret the disagreement among us, you cannot cry more than the bereaved. Those of us that are feeling neglected and uncompensated by any means should be courageous enough to come and let us reason together rather than aligning forces with sons of perdition to take the state back to the devil”

Mr. Njoku carefully analysed what he described as the ‘Asian political web of social democratic principle’ and how it has played a role in achieving the formation of the New Abia.
“H.E. Governor Otti under labour party has achieved what I will call a government of the finest, square pegs in square holes, by selecting men and women committed to the welfare of the state and its people first, by shifting away from the traditional political reward system and focusing on the tenets of social democratic principles which Labour Party is built upon as a party of the ordinary people.”
“We have brought discipline and responsible leadership that is accountable to the people and I am very proud to align with the man with such quality of character that God has used to shine the light upon the state, that does not look like some feats we are going to allow vultures and scavengers to come and scatter, No, it won’t happen”
“The beautiful and quality infrastructure that have been established by the Otti’s administration that we are enjoying in the state today were only made possible because Labour Party and its leaders consider the welfare of the people and the development of the environment as a primary responsibility of the call to duty and not politics as we have had it in the past here in our dear homeland, therefore when you refer to my position as boasting, it is only because I know the truth of the matter as a frontline combatant of Labour Party in Abia state and no matter what anyone think or is scheming against the leadership of the party, we are not leaving Abia soon until we have completed the job the almighty God has called us and assigned us to do here in Nigeria’s most vibrant center of commerce.”
“Therefore, I am very confident in what I said that this party will rule Abia for a very long time, because so many characters of rare quality not common in the average Nigerian political structure are involved in the rebuilding process and 2027 is just the second step to a journey that is certainly going to last for decades.”
