It has become quite necessary to state that when Mr Peter Obi governed Anambra State, he glaringly showed that serving the people is not about waste. He managed state resources with care. State funds were treated like his own business money. He cut out unnecessary government expenses that usually drain the treasury, avoided frivolous spending and blocked corruption which, in so doing, ensured that every kobo reached the intended projects for the public good. This simple, honest approach proved that our nation’s wealth can actually work for the common people.
What his administration did in the Agricultural sector was transformative for our farmers. He moved beyond just promises by providing direct support, quality tools, and funding that empowered rural communities to grow more food. He turned agriculture into a serious business, which helped many families become self-sufficient. Give it to Peter Obi, his focus was always on creating value on the ground, ensuring that our fertile lands were not left to rot while citizens struggled.
Of course, his work in the health sector remains a shinning example for all to see. PO did not just build walls, he partnered with mission hospitals and upgraded medical facilities to ensure that quality healthcare reached even the most remote villages. His administration equipped health centers and prioritised immunisations, which significantly improved the survival rate of our people. He clearly proved that when a leader is disciplined, even the weakest public systems can become strong.
