A Nigerian man has cried out for help after allegedly receiving a ₦100,000 giveaway from individuals said to be bandits during a live session on Friday.
According to him, what initially seemed like a harmless giveaway has now turned into a frightening situation. He claims that after receiving the money, he was sent an email demanding ₦100 million in return.
The man explained that he never expected to actually receive any money when he submitted his account details. Like many others, he said he only participated casually when the giveaway was announced.
Now overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty, he is appealing to Nigerians for help, insisting that he has no way of paying the alleged ₦100 million being demanded.
In his words:
“Nigerians, please help me. I was one of the people who received the ₦100,000 giveaway from the bandits that came live on Friday. Now they have sent me an email demanding ₦100 million. Please help me, I don’t have that kind of money. I only dropped my account details for fun because I never believed they would actually send the money.”
