Ohafia’s most accessible and Supportive Legislator honored

The Honourable Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe Erie Okwe), has been recognized for his exceptional commitment to his constituents by the National Association of Ohafia Students (NAOS), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) Chapter.

The award, designating Hon. Nwoke as the “Most Accessible & Supportive Legislator of the Year,” was presented during the association’s Annual Cultural Day celebration, themed “Unmasking the Brave,”held on May 22, 2026.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Honourable Member, his Spokesman, Nnanna Echeme, conveyed Hon. Nwoke’s gratitude to the student body. The event served as a platform for cultural preservation and vital discourse on the future of the youth within the Ohafia Kingdom.

Addressing the students Hon. Nwoke charged the students to remain steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge. He reminded them that their academic success is the greatest investment they can make for the future of the Ohafia Kingdom, urging them to strive for excellence in their respective fields of study.

The Abia Lawmaker further reminded the students that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. He urged all eligible students to seize this opportunity to register, emphasizing that their participation is essential to shaping the future of the state and nation in the coming general elections.

Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke remains dedicated to maintaining an open-door policy, ensuring that the voices of the people of Ohafia South are heard, represented, and supported in the Abia State House of Assembly.
