“Nigeria leads in Tech StartUp VC funding in Africa and Nigeria has the honour of having some of the continent’s most successful Tech StartUps but Mr. Tosin who started Moniepoint in Nigeria with local talents haven’t seen that in all his years in the Fintech industry.”
The recent statement credited to the CEO of Moniepoint, Nigeria, Tosin Eniolorunda, that Nigeria’s youth are unemployable; possessing no skills with very bad quality in talents is not only false but misleading.
Tosin by his own statement has dismissed the quality of training he got from Nigeria before his rise to the CEO of the Fintech giant, Moniepoint
It’s revolting that a man who was born, raised and educated in Nigeria, trained and employed in Nigeria by Interswitch before starting Moniepoint is making such a ridiculously statement of quality of talents against Nigerian youths.
Nigeria leads in Tech StartUp VC funding in Africa and Nigeria has the honour of having some of the continent’s most successful Tech StartUps but Mr. Tosin who started Moniepoint in Nigeria with local talents and who says he pays industry average salaries wants the best Tech talent.
Meanwhile instead of doing what Andela, Flutterwave, Paystack, Interswitch, Paga are doing, he’s coming to make a mockery of himself by griping talents with his peculiar anecdotes…
If he doesn’t know what to do about talent hiring & retention, he’s spoilt for choice for assistance in Nigeria.
Again, It’s disgraceful that a business leader of his supposed standing isn’t ashamed to say he doesn’t know how to grow, hire or retain talents, it means he’s still holed in, in a rigid frame in a country bubbling with talents, skill and energy at every turn among its teeming young population
