What is Barr. Julius Abure unforgivable offense?

“As a member of Labour Party, I’m compelled to speak out after the recent by-elections in Nigeria. We’ve learned that social media endorsements alone don’t win elections; a strong party structure and grassroots mobilization are crucial. Schemes on social media can backfire without a solid foundation, and announcing fictitious results undermines the electoral process.

We’ve cautioned against the weaponization of social media in politics, recognizing its dangers. Politics is about building bridges, making friends, and serving the people – not insulting others and undermining party authority.

The question remains: has Peter Obi’s approach yielded better results? Has he won any significant elections since his campaign against Labour Party under Barr. Julius Abure’s leadership began? I’m left wondering: did Obi and Alex Otti’s attempt to hijack Labour Party yield anything positive?

What wrong has Barr. Julius Abure done to deserve relentless attacks from them and the Obidient Movement? Our NWC and NEC worked tirelessly for the 2023 elections, yet there’s been no gratitude from Obi.

I believe it’s essential to uphold principles of gratitude and accountability. Obi and Otti need to reconsider their position and seek to atone for the damage they’ve brought to Labour Party. If they find the party unattractive, the most honourable thing to do is quit with dignity, rather than working to destroy it through INEC and the judiciary. It’s time for reflection, accountability, and a renewed commitment to building a strong, united party.”
