Abia Labour Party repositioned for greater control of the state, encourage members to remain steadfast.

With the recent extension of party registration and validation exercise of members and intending members of Labour Party through “the Directorate of Mobilization and Integration (DMI) especially in Abia State where the party maintains a stronghold as the ruling party in the state and Third Force in Nigeria.

The State Chairman (Ag) Hon Prince G.O. Ndubueze has called on members of the party in Abia State to remain steadfast and hold on to the party that has brought Abia State the much desired liberation from decades of underdevelopment, stagnation and failed promises that has in the past deprived the state and it’s citizenry from enjoying responsible leadership until the emergence of the Labour Party led government of H.E. Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR).

Hon. Ndubueze speaking at the just concluded inauguration of caretaker committees of the party across the 17 LGA’s encouraged the leaders to seek for every avenues to rejig the party and improve the welfare of members of the party especially reconciling aggrieved members of the party who might have felt shortchanged or denied certain privileges that are statutorily part of benefits of membership of the party especially among the leadership in Abia State.

Hon. Ndubueze maintained that; “Every political party in Nigeria today has had its fair share of conflicts and disagreements, both within the leadership and down to the members and it is proven without doubt such conflicts and disagreements when properly managed has always brought into the party opportunity to unite and wax stronger in the midst of daunting challenges therefore Labour Party is not an exception.

The good governance Abians are enjoying today that has endeared her to many local and international development partners is as a result of its wholehearted embrace of the Labour Party.

“Recently we have had two members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), elected into the State House of Assembly dumped their party to join the Labour Party, in the person of Hon. Dennis Rowland Caesar, representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency and Hon. Lucky Nweke Johnson representing Isuikwuato constituency.”

“Rest assured that more are still coming because Labour Party remains the winning party in Abia State.

The liberation of Abia from its dark days of bondage in the hands of unpopular politicians started with Labour Party and shall continue until we have completed our mission here in God’s Own State.” Said Prince Ndubueze

“As the ruling Party in Abia State and the strongest opposition party not to mess with in Nigeria today, We cannot afford to be ignorant of those shadowy characters who may want to capitalize on our weakness or take advantage of any loophole within the party to distabilize our position and disrupt the speed of growth we have recorded in Abia State today under the leadership of this present administration of Labour Party.

“Like the governor used to say, we are not perfect, we make mistakes and we are always open to correct our mistakes but we will not tolerate the activities of those who may wish to key into those challenges we are dealing with in the party to distabilize us.” Said Hon. Ndubueze.

Speaking on the possibilities of elected Members of the party in Abia decamping to other parties, Hon. Ndubueze faulted such move on the premise that the government of Abia State today that has brought Abia the speed of development the state is enjoying today was made possible on the platform of Labour Party,

“Why would anyone want to leave where there is celebration to a place of mourning? Hon. Ndubueze asked.

“Look at Nigeria today, is anyone celebrating the existence of APC that the politicians are running to, the answer is ‘No’ and like Aminu Tambuwal said, those running to APC today are those politicians without conscience otherwise none of them could boldly point out any achievement of the party that is attracting those decamping to the party other than greed and selfishness.” Said Hon. Ndubueze or those that want their sins to be forgiven according to the Senate President.

“Finally, let me make it clear one error that may appear misleading to our teeming supporters here in Abia State. Regarding the last concluded LG elections in Abia State, we participated as Labour Party and where we felt shortchanged and manipulated, we are addressing it adequately and our members will be duly served the progress we are making in due time.”

“It will be instructive that Abians know that there is a clear distinction between Labour Party (LP) and Zenith Labour Party. (ZLP).”

The National Chairman of Labour Party today remains Barr. Julius Abure as duly announced by the congress held in 27th March 2024 and affirmed by both INEC and both Federal High and Appeal Court of law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

As it has been stated, we do not recognize any independent structures outside the Labour Party, and that is why our Directorate of Mobilization and Integration (DMI) has been doing all within its powers to register every member of the Obedient Movement into the Party.”

“We are not members of Zenith Labor Party, although we may share certain similarity of nomenclature but we are completely different and so is our ideology.”

The Alex Otti government that Abia people are enjoying today remains the product of Labour Party that even the Governor himself had made several clarifications of his membership and loyalty to the party, notwithstanding that we will advise that he make honest position of his loyality with the Party.

“We frown at loyalty proclaimed on media spaces, the ruling government today in Abia State is a product of Labour Party, therefore it is not proper whereby people who climbed to political positions on the platform of the party turn their back on the leadership of the party for whatsoever reasons including the Governor, State House and National Assembly Members, this amounts to gross misconduct and destroying the house that gave you shelter under the rainstorms,”

“We cannot hold the table for you to climb and campaign for votes and when we get the victory, you decided to destroy the table and kick everyone out, that is an anomaly and I want to believe those who are involved will take corrections immediately and do the needful as quickly as possible”

As a party, we have responsibilities that cuts across every members and leadership of the party, we are not a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) where individuals only rides in to achieve their goals then jettison the platform, We will not tolerate that going forward” said Prince Ndubueze, A STICH IN TIMES SAVES-NINE.
