“it is a known fact that in Labour party we do not take to this sycophantic behaviors common in the Nigerian political ecosystem, you are rather with us in our principled stance on changing the leadership ecosystem in Nigeria or you are not with us” – Njoku Jerry A.

Members of the State Executive Council, (SEC) State Working Committee (SWC) and Stakeholders of Labour Party in Abia State continue to speak highly of the National Chairman of Labour party in the person of Barrister Julius Abure. During the recent inauguration of the Acting State Chairman, Hon Sir Emmanuel Nweze Otti, (KSA), posters of the National Chairman had adorned the premises of the State Party Headquarters in Umuahia, although he was unavoidably absent at the event possibly due to logistics hitches, the leadership of Julius Abure in piloting the affairs of the party at the National level was highly commended.
Abia State had produced the National Vice Chairman South East during the recent National congress held in Nnewi in the person of Hon. Ceekay Igara and holding forth as the only state where Labour party had won in a landslide victory, in all these, several factors continue to reveal a very robust relationship between the National body and Abia State working committee of the party.
In a brief chat with the State Publicity Secretary of the Party Comrade Njoku Jerry Ajike, who spoke so confidently in Abure’s ability to sustain any tide that the present political situation may haul at him he said;
“I am privileged to have known Barr. Julius Abure from the first day he assumed the leadership position he is occupying today in Benin and to have also played a role in my little own way during that challenging moment of wearing the big shoe, He is a man to be trusted in his capacity as a leader and sincere in his relationship with members of the party, cutting across all categories.”
“More to that, he exudes a level of humility that is only found among genuine people of faith in God almighty, otherwise there is no way he could have survived the political hailstones being hurled at him virtually from all corners by those who is afraid of his simplicity and gentleman approach to the political complexities of our time.”
“Here in Abia State, where Labour party holds sway as the ruling party, it may surprise you to know that the National Chairman played a very pivotal role in the emergence of our leader Dr. Alex Otti, the Executive Governor of Abia today, therefore if you read in the papers that Abia State Labour party is solidly behind Julius Abure’s present leadership position as the National Chairman of our great party, it should not surprise anyone and we will continue to maintain that position as God’s people from this God’s own state.”
“We have been celebrating his court victories till date and will not seize to continue to stand by him because of his exemplary leadership style that can only be described as divine.”
“More so, it is a known fact that in Labour party we do not take to this sycophantic behaviors common in the Nigerian political ecosystem, you are rather with us in our principled stance on changing the leadership ecosystem in Nigeria or you are not with us in that route of sincerity of purpose in changing the behavior of the people that made the leaders, therefore those who are bent on putting a stumbling block on Abure’s leadership progress maybe wrong in the end and I want to believe I am speaking the minds of entire members and leadership of Abia State Labour party as the image maker of the party, if not all, at least 75%.” Abia State will continue to throw its weight behind all our leaders as duly elected because they merited it as labourers in God’s political vineyard in Nigeria”
Speaking further, Mr. Njoku said; “If you were at the inauguration ceremony of our Acting Chairman Hon. Sir Emma Otti, you will agree with me that the members and supporters of our great Party in Abia remain resolute in their support to the National Chairman and we are using this medium to tell Barr Julius Abure to remain courageous and focused in the discharge of his duties despite all the blackmails and campaigns of calumny by those who are being humbled by his simplicity and dedication to the success of the party and have been hell bent on distracting him from his sterling performance so far.”
“Thank you for listening.”
