Labour Party Chieftain, Prince Ndubueze unites Obingwa Ward 2, shares relief materials

In the spirit of the Mayday holiday and celebration of the contribution of workers and traders to the success of the Labour Party government in Abia state, Hon. Prince G.O. Ndubueze, a Chieftain of Labour party in Abia state hosted members of the Labour party in Obingwa to a grand reception of old and new members joining the party on the 29th April 2024.

Prince Ndubueze, speaking at the occasion appreciated the Labour party members and supporters of the Gov. Alex Otti government especially members from Obingwa LGA, Ward 2, for their unalloyed support and commitment to the affairs of the Party. He encouraged members to make sure that the peace and unity enjoyed in Obingwa LGA today is sustained.

The party Chieftain and prominent stakeholder in Labour Party, Obingwa LGA responding to journalist at the occasion said the meeting was to brief party faithfuls and supporters on the latest developments in Labour party, Abia State, and give them the assurance of Gov Alex Otti’s commitment and passion to make Abia state become one of the safest place to do business, reside and build investment in Nigeria 

He encouraged business owners and residents in Aba to support Gov.Alex Otti’s infrastructural development plans by regular payment of government approved levies to help boost  the state Internal Generated Revenue (IGR).

Prince Ndubueze maintained that there is peace in the Party, both at the National and state levels, the leadership of the party is in harmony and supporting every activities of the party at the state level, He advised members to shun the distraction of rumor mongers trying in vain to cause division in the party

The meeting held in Umuduku, Ehere community, Obingwa L.G.A had in attendance the State Executives of the Party led by the former State Chairman who was recently elevated to the position of National Vice Chairman South East and represented by the State Youth Leader Hon.Udo Ihediwa, the State Publicity Secretary Comrade Njoku Jerry A, the State CSO, Comrade Obioma Charles and the Obingwa Local Government Chairman Evang. Princewill Nwauzor respectively. Other stakeholders including senior friends who flew in from overseas to grace the occasion and lend support to the efforts of Prince Ndubueze in formalizing the victory of the Party in the State were in attendance and spoke convincingly to the members to joins hands with Prince Ndubueze in galvanizing the fortunes of the party at the 2023 polls in order to repeat same or do even more in the next election.

The State Youth Leader, Hon. Udo Ihediwa speaking at the occasion reassured the members of Labour Party in Obingwa, that after their meeting with H.E. Gov. Alex Otti, the executive governor of Abia State and the State leader of Labour Party in Abia State, the governor equivocally stated that henceforth, all the leadership positions at the Local Government and Ward structures of the party remains the same, that he will never authorize any appointee of government, whether Mayors of the Local governments or political appointees to disorganize the Party structure, but rather they should go back to their respective wards and strengthen the party.

Highlight of the event included the reception of decampees from other political parties numbering in their hundreds to the Labour Party and the distribution of food items including several bags of rice and cash gifts to every member in attendance to cushion the effects of hardship many families are undergoing in the present economic situation.

Members in attendance thanked the Hon. Prince Ndubueze for his generous spirit and support to the party at the grassroots level. It will be noted this is not the first nor second time Prince Ndubueze has single handedly contributed to the welfare of the party, he has continued to bore the burdens of maintaining unity and orderliness in order to grow the strength of the party from the grassroots to the state level.
